Massachusetts to file suit against Big Dig managers to recover costs for errors

The state of Massachusetts intends to sue the consortium that has managed the $14.6 billion Big Dig project to recover costs for design errors and construction mistakes, estimated to be as much as $100 million. The lawsuit against Bechtel/Parsons Brinckerhoff would be the second the state has filed against the group. The first suit, filed in March of 2003, accused the firm of concealing the skyrocketing costs of the project from lawmakers.
