Broadcom chip could bulk up phones at less power

Broadcom introduced a wireless chip that it said would give mobile devices greater muscle by enabling them to handle bulkier media and data applications without draining additional power resources. The BCM4329 combination chip brings together 802.11n, Bluetooth and FM in a single silicon die so that ever-smaller devices can handle ever-larger applications.
