Actor to help launch medication error e-mail alert system

A new system to help prevent medical errors would send e-mail alerts to pharmacists, physicians, nurses and other providers when a serious or potentially serious medication error occurs. Actor Dennis Quaid, whose newborn twins in 2007 were injured by a medication error, will help launch the National Alert Network for Serious Medication Errors.
