BMI, waist measurements predict CV events, study says

Body mass index and waist circumference measurements were equally good at predicting cardiovascular events and mortality over a 10-year period, according to a Dutch study. Researchers said data also showed a stronger-than-previously-seen link between obesity and being overweight and fatal and nonfatal cardiovascular events.
