DOE unveils $100M to fund clean-energy research projects

The Department of Energy announced a second batch of funding opportunities worth $100 million for cutting-edge clean-energy projects, according to Secretary Steven Chu. The funds, which will be made available through the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy, will focus on new approaches for biofuels, carbon capture and batteries for electric vehicles.
