EBay auction sells right to name new shrimp species

Former NBA player Luc Longley's $2,900 bid won an eBay auction to name a shrimp species that lives off the Australian coast. The researcher who discovered the deep-sea critter concocted the auction to raise money for a marine-conservation group. The winning bid paled in comparison to the previous sale of the naming rights of a Bolivian monkey for $650,000.
