EIA raises 2009 outlook for U.S. natural gas production

The Energy Information Administration has increased its forecast for this year's natural gas output, citing growth in onshore shale production as a primary factor. Marketed natural gas production will climb 3.7% in 2009, then drop by 3.1% next year to about 58.37 billion cubic feet per day, the EIA said.
