Florida House OKs rail bill; state Senate remains divided

The Florida House passed a bill on Monday supporting commuter and high-speed rail projects in the state, but the proposal has met with a cool reception in the state Senate. The bill passed the House 84-25 but barely exited a Senate committee, which voted 5-4 in its favor. Senate opponents to the rail projects rejected similar bills in 2008 and earlier this year.
