Michigan district buys laptops for students in special education

Officials in a Michigan school district approved a plan to buy 200 laptop computers, which will be primarily for students in special education. The district also purchased 12 mobile carts for the laptops for students who have special needs. The purchase will be paid for with a combination of federal stimulus money for special education and voter-approved bond money earmarked for school technology.
