Nashville mayor plans incubator to create, support more charter schools

The mayor of Nashville, Tenn., plans to form a nonprofit incubator to support new charter schools -- the first of its kind in the state. To increase the number of charters, the Center for Charter Schools in Tennessee plans to recruit and train educators and provide support to new charter schools. The $1.5 million in seed money will come from private donations to the mayor's education-reform fund.
