Projected small pay boosts may cost companies top talent

Employers will be offering workers a median 2.5% pay increase for 2010, the lowest in 10 years, says a Hay Group survey. "Organizations really risk their top talent exiting to other organizations if they don't feel that their contributions are being recognized, financially and nonfinancially," says Mel Stark, a Hay Group vice president.
