Caribbean cement companies incur Q3 losses, remain optimistic

Cement manufacturers Caribbean Cement in Jamaica and Trinidad Cement in Trinidad experienced third-quarter losses of about $1 billion and $80.8 million, respectively. Despite the setbacks, Rollin Bertrand, group CEO at Caribbean Cement, says the firm wants to expand to a South American country by early next year. Trinidad says it has seen "indications of increased demand" and expects a slow recovery to occur.
