Lawmaker pushes for union representation for TSA employees

The chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee recently wrote to the head of the Transportation Security Administration in support of collective bargaining rights for airport security screeners. Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., wrote in his letter to TSA Administrator John Pistole that the current prohibition on collective bargaining is "without legal rationale or factual support."
