Mountaineer and Arctic adventurer Alison Levine led the first American Women's Everest Expedition, but says her main strategy was to make sure that each member of her team was ready to step into her shoes at a moment's notice. With so much at stake, every team member needs to be prepared to take responsibility for the team as a whole, Levine says.
