Crisp Media acquires Smart Device in a bid to close mobile-ad circle

A one-stop venue for ad creation and tech services as well as placement is the objective with Crisp Media's acquisition of startup Smart Device Media, which has set up a market for premium mobile ad inventory. Crisp Media brings to the table its HTML5 ad tech platform used by major brands for mobile campaigns on applications and the Web. Crisp CEO Boris Fridman says the acquisition should boost brands' commitment to mobile by combining highly effective ad services with the ability to access high-impact ad placement.
