Three recent investments in the education-technology sector may signal new trends for the future of education, according to this blog. For example, a $1.1 million investment was made in startup MasteryConnect, which is working on a tool to help educators access and share assessments based on the new Common Core State Standards. Two other recent deals target growth in technology that supports adaptive learning and social networking for teachers and students.
