Maine town voters to decide on 6-month moratorium on LPG projects

Searsport, Maine, selectmen unanimously voted Tuesday to let voters decide on a proposed six-month moratorium on all LPG-related projects in the town, including DCP Midstream's planned 137-foot propane storage tank. The moratorium seeks to restrict the town from "accepting applications, processing applications that have already been filed, and issuing approvals and permits relative to any aspect of the development of any LPG terminal and/or storage facility within the Town of Searsport" until May 20.
