New adware bugs alarm Facebook, advertisers

New software that allows Facebook users to customize their profiles with borders, decorations and Web searches also comes with ads that cover up or push down advertising from Facebook and other search-engine results pages. The software is frustrating Facebook, Google and Yahoo!, who do not get revenue from the ads. Facebook has sent one firm behind the software, Sambreel, cease and desist letters, but Sambreel argues they are not under contract with Facebook and do not fall under their rules.
