Nokia, Microsoft team up to target the B2B smartphone market

Nokia is expected to partner with Microsoft to help Nokia crack the international B2B market with smartphones running Microsoft's Windows OS and its Office 365 cloud-based application platform. The marketing alliance aims to help the Finnish handset maker catch up to Google and Apple by offering businesses a third alternative to the popular systems. Nokia's Lumia 800 already has appeared in France, Germany, Italy and the U.K. and is expected to bow in the U.S. next year. Nokia "will rely on Microsoft to help us enter the B-to-B market," CEO Stephen Elop said.
