Southeast states have longest office wait times, data show

Physician office wait times are the longest in Southeast states at an average 23.5 minutes, according to data from the physician rating website Vitals. The national average wait time is 21 minutes and states in the West and Midwest came in under that time. Mississippi had the longest wait at 25.06 minutes and Wisconsin had the shortest, at 15.43 minutes.
