Neb. state board considers standards for fine arts

The Nebraska Board of Education is considering whether to adopt the state's first fine arts standards -- a move that would set broad concepts for the arts and more specific requirements for groups of grades, such as kindergarten to second grade. If approved, officials say, it is likely the arts would be integrated into other subjects, such as teaching dance as part of students' physical-education courses.
