Pa. college seeks to train students for jobs in oil and gas

The Pennsylvania College of Technology has taken steps in recent years to launch new programs in oil and gas to meet industry and student needs. In one such initiative, Penn College and Westmoreland County Community College partnered to create ShaleNET, a consortium of community colleges working to create and run programs specifically to prepare individuals for work in the natural gas industry. The college offers various programs from short-term certification programs to one-, two- and four-year degrees.
