Kellogg pioneers use of new soybean oil

Kellogg Co. is making inroads to eliminate trans fat from its baked snacks, becoming the first food company to use a new kind of unhydrogenated soybean oil, developed by Monsanto. Kellogg, which plans to launch some cereal products and crackers next year with the new formula, is also working with Bunge and DuPont to develop trans fat-free soybean oils.
