New studies shift theories about high-fructose corn syrup

Five papers published in a supplement to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition find no special link between consumption of high-fructose corn syrup and obesity. One was written by Barry Popkin, co-author of a 2004 paper suggesting that rising obesity might be related to rising consumption of high-fructose corn syrup.
