Nurse leaders don't require special title

Nurses don't need a special job title to be leaders at work and within their profession, says RN Jennifer Thew, an editorial director for Nursing Spectrum/NurseWeek. She says nurses who pursue continuing education or additional certification, create quality improvement projects, or start journal clubs demonstrate leadership, raise the bar of professional standards and improve patient care.
