Opinions mixed on need for "Day Without a Gay"

Although some marriage-rights supporters are calling for LGBT people to stage a protest Wednesday by staying home from work, refraining from spending and volunteering for a community group, the success of the so-called "Day Without a Gay" may be difficult to gauge. Other activists question the wisdom of asking people to skip work during tough economic times, with some saying it would be better for LGBT people to allocate their spending to LGBT-friendly businesses on a daily basis.
