San Francisco school board to vote on strict graduation standards

San Francisco's school board will soon decide on whether to implement strict graduation standards that officials hope will improve graduation rates. Superintendent Carlos Garcia has proposed requiring all high school students to complete college-preparatory courses required by the University of California and the California State University systems, saying that the tougher requirement will increase college readiness.
