ACC backs lawmaker's call for chemical regulatory reform

Sen. Frank Lautenberg, D-N.J., said during a Senate committee hearing that it is time "to sound the alarm" on the country's regulatory framework for toxic chemicals, and he announced a plan to reintroduce legislation that would reform the Toxic Substances Control Act. The American Chemistry Council supported the initiative and provided its own guidelines for regulatory reforms.
