Pediatric cancer survivors at risk for heart disease

Young adult survivors of childhood cancer have a higher risk of developing heart disease, researchers reported. Study data showed the risk among children who had chemotherapy was two to five times higher and patients treated with radiation were two to six times more likely to get heart disease than those who didn't have the therapies.
