Although small-business owners appreciate proposals President Barack Obama made Tuesday to come to their aid, they are worried that key public policies on health care, climate change and taxes will counteract anything he announced on Tuesday. NFIB opposes the House and Senate versions of health care reform because of the new taxes, mandates and entitlement it engenders and says changes planned in the estate tax leave the rate too high and exemption too low.
