Canadian retailers compete with global brands in malls

When Apple started opening stores in malls, all the retailers in the mall would get a boost from the increase in traffic. It was known as the "Apple effect". Now, a variety of foreign brands, including Crate & Barrel and Victoria's Secret, have the power to increase demand at Canada's leading malls. The situation is putting pressure on some established retailers.
