Germany was too quick to reject a common bond, Juncker says

Jean-Claude Juncker, prime minister of Luxembourg, said German Chancellor Angela Merkel was too quick to reject the idea of developing a common euro-region bond. Merkel said debate on how to resolve the region's debt crisis should be done "quietly and in a goal-oriented fashion", while reiterating her opposition to proposals for a Eurobond. AFME supports the creation of a common bond as a way to end the fiscal crisis. "There are significant advantages, and it could be a possible solution for the sovereign-debt crisis," said the association's Sander Schol.
