Congressional shakeup could affect online ad industry

The departure of Rep. Mary Bono Mack, R-Calif., and Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., from Congress in January will leave the online ad business with fewer allies on the Hill, experts say. That will be somewhat offset by the elevation of Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., an opponent of privacy legislation, to vice chair of the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
