Only 4% of single-family home roofs built before 2002 in Lee County, Fla., have been modified since they were built, which could create an opportunity for the area's roofing contractors. The situation could be due to the sluggish economy, but roof replacements are starting to increase as the economy recovers and home insurers offer discounts for newer roofs.
