Studies: Some meat products contain antibiotic-resistant bacteria

Consumer Reports says it detected campylobacter, a drug-resistant bacteria, in more than 40% of the chickens it purchased across the U.S. A separate study commissioned by the Sierra Club and the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy found brand-name chicken and turkey products sold in the Minneapolis area have high levels of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
