Study of Florida voucher program reveals inconsistent results

Florida students who used vouchers to attend private schools showed higher gains in reading but lower rates of improvement in math, according to a study which compared the scores of students using vouchers to those of children who remained in their original schools. The study of 556 students who took advantage of the state's Opportunity Scholarships is the only analysis of Florida's voucher program effectiveness to date.
