Congress approves commercial space travel bill

Congress on Wednesday passed legislation that would allow private spacecraft operators to take paying passengers into space. Under the bill, which needs the president's signature, the Federal Aviation Administration would issue permits to the operators and regulate the commercial space flight industry.
