ASTA says it will fight newly passed ARC fee increase

The Airlines Reporting Corporation's board of directors has passed the controversial fee increase that boosts the share of operational costs to travel agencies above 10%. ASTA immediately responded that it will fight the increase by bringing it to an independent arbitrator, or further, if necessary. "ASTA has proposed that litigation could be avoided were ARC to provide the financial disclosures we have sought, but this was dismissed out of hand," said Cheryl Hudak, CTC, president and CEO of ASTA.
