Deflation fears arise for China's economy

China's rate of producer-price inflation dropped to 2% in November -- less than a third of the previous month's 6.6% -- raising fears that the nation could be slipping into deflation. Collapse of the wholesale-inflation rate comes as a shock, even to economists who predicted a 4.4% rate in a Reuters poll.
