Group: Close admissions until Texas state schools are fixed

Disability advocates want Texas to stop accepting new students into its troubled residential schools for people with developmental disabilities until they are reformed. "The days of rampant abuse and neglect of state school residents, poor medical care, unnecessary use of restraint and poor behavioral services must end before any other residents are harmed or die," said Mary Faithfull, executive director of Advocacy, which provides legal aid to people with special needs.
