Long-term use of 2 diabetes drugs raises fracture risk

Women who use Avandia and Actos long-term to treat their Type 2 diabetes double their risk of bone fractures, an international research team reports. The researchers suggested the drugs may replace bone marrow with fat cells, increasing the risk of fracture.
