Insurers will have leeway on NAIC's climate survey, regulator says

Property/casualty insurers will be allowed to provide limited information in responding to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners' Climate Change Disclosure Survey, said Pennsylvania Insurance Commissioner Joel Ario, chairman of NAIC's Climate Change and Global Task Force. The regulator previously announced NAIC will solicit poll data from subsidiaries of insurers in other states if their state of domicile refuses to administer the poll, eliciting objection from PCI and other insurance trade associations.
