Utah expands I-15 freeway project

Utah's biggest freeway project just got bigger, with officials announcing that reconstruction of Interstate 15 will continue all the way to Spanish Fork, instead of stopping at Provo. The 24-mile project will cost $1.7 billion and entail expanding lanes and rebuilding 10 interchanges. The project, awarded to a consortium led by Fluor Enterprises and Ames Construction, is expected to begin by spring and finish by 2012.
