Viral marketing spreads Facebook "deaths"

Seppukoo is a site that invites disgruntled social-media users to call it quits, using a name that plays on the ancient samurai notion of a virtuous death. Users type in a few last words to share with their Facebook friends and deactivate their Facebook profile. At that point, friends can continue to write testimonials about their deceased pal on a Seppukoo memorial page. Users gain prominence on the site if they get their friends to follow their lead.
