Immigrant entrepreneur takes on the U.S. mobile phone industry

As an international student at Yale, Ahmed Khattak's journey into entrepreneurship was inspired by his frustrations with the U.S. cellphone industry, which differs greatly from its counterpart in his native Pakistan. He launched GSM Nation, which helps consumers to buy manufacturer-unlocked phones and take advantage of cheaper plans from third-party carriers. The company is on pace to generate $50 million worth of sales this year.
