Survey: Employers continue to embrace health coverage

A postelection survey found that 84% of employers in the U.S. plan to keep offering health insurance to full-time workers after insurance exchanges under the Affordable Care Act become operational in 2014, according to the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. Respondents cited the desire to maintain employee loyalty, retain workers and fulfill collective-bargaining agreements as their chief reasons for continuing coverage.
