Divorce battle over dog ownership settled

A settlement in a New York divorce case brings closure to a fight over a miniature dachshund after a landmark ruling in which a judge called for pets to be treated more like children than property during divorce proceedings. The women, married in 2012, are splitting and they both wanted ownership of their dog, Joey, who was purchased by one woman as a gift to the other.
