Huddle House looks to big and small franchisee combo to spur growth

Family dining chain Huddle House has spent 49 years growing its brand to include more than 400 restaurants, 89% of which are owned by franchisees who operate less than four locations, but the company is looking beyond its small franchisee model to open 175 new units over the next five years, Chief Development Officer Jonathan Benjamin said. He said Huddle House will look to a combination of small and large franchisees, new menu innovations and new locations in dense urban areas and travel centers to achieve growth.
