PIP founder sentenced to 4 years in prison

Jean-Claude Mas, the founder of Poly Implant Prothese, was sentenced to four years in prison after being convicted of fraud related to the manufacture of breast implants containing industrial-grade silicone. Mas was ordered to pay a $103,000 fine, and four other PIP executives were ordered to serve time and pay fines.
