Teacher uses morning talk-show format for project on ancient history

Project-based activities can help students imagine and better understand ancient Egypt, Florida middle-school teacher Todd LaVogue writes. In this article, he shares how one such learning project built around a morning talk show-style television format -- with segments about weather, fashion and other topics -- have helped his students engage in learning about time periods that may be hard for them to imagine. The final product was screened for the public at a community holiday festival, he writes.
